Let me tell you something about my...

Antonio P.  Munoz, Papa, is not the richest man on earth nor the father who will give his kids the toys that they want or any particular thing that his kids want.

Growing up, I've never questioned my father why he doesnt bother to buy us this or that. And Yes, Papa is not the know-it-all Dad, he is never the Daddy who would buy us clothes, gadgets, etc but we never questioned him. My father, despite everything that he has been through, has always remained a good father.

Papa and I dont agree with so many things that's why we have this little love-hate relationship. We argue and discuss so many things but we always end up understanding each other.

You know, I never tried to search on the qualities that a father-provider must have on my father. Hindi ko kailan hinanap yung mga wala sa tatay ko. I never felt jealous to some kids who always get to be with their dad for shopping, etc.

My father is my father, he loves me in his own little ways and growing up with this kind of thinking, I thank him and my mother for raising us very well.

Whatever obstacles my father had been through, whatever people may say, I am proud that he is my father and I'd never exchange him for anyone else. Yes, he doesnt give us toys, etc but my father has always taught of us one of the best life's lessons that man can never buy to his kids.

Papa taught us how to be "selfless". I will not elaborate on this one. Yung tatay ko kasi, hindi nan direktang ituturo samin na dapat ganito ka. Ipinapakita nya. How he is with other people makes us proud. Kahit konti na lang matira sakanya, magbibigay pa sya. For my Papa and Mama, it should always be "less for self and more for others..pero enough for all"

I thank God for Papa. I thank God for another year that he has given my father. Happy 56th Birthday, Papa!! I will always be your little girl.

Holidays Spent Well.

Holidays Spent Well.

I wasnt able to  blog last December because i've been busy with so many things so please forgive me. Now, allow me to share how my holidays went.

You guys knew that I started it by attending the 9-dawn masses, and I am proud to say that I had a complete attendance. I update everything on Twitter, feel free to follow (shameless plugging). It was an achievement to have been able to complete it for the third time. I get to experience the spirit of Christmas more. I just hope some people will realize that its not the time of the year when you will spend 1 hour of chatting with your seatmate for 9 days. Its not the time of the year when you will make it as an excuse to see your bf/gf. Its not even the time of the year when you'll just sacrifice your little sleep just to make a wish. Let me tell you, its more than that. Instead of making a wish, I just prayed for the people I love and my fellowmen down south.

Now I think it'll be too boring if I tell everything right here. I just wanted you guys to know that I'm glad I was able to spend the holidays very well with the people I love most. Even if my Mama, my brother Frank and my boyfriend Patten were not around, I'm glad we still got to celebrate the holidays with them thru Skype. Skype has always been a big help.

It was truly a memorable December. I love you, Jesus!

Bring it on, 2012!

Hi there!

Hope I'm not too late to greet you a Happy Happy New Year!

2011 was an awesome year. I learned a lot but I can not say that I have grown enough. All I know is, I got to see more of what this life can bring. 2011  taught me a lot, and for some reason it became the best year of my life. It was truly a rollercoaster ride.

2011 took me to a point where I got to enjoy myself more and it made the most important people of my life proud of me. I've always thought that seeing the people you love happy is truly one of the best feelings in this world. Just like the rest of you, my 2011 was tough yet everything that happened could be summed up into two words, --worth remembering.

Yes, people do make mistakes but how you stand up and fight after a massive downfall is the most important thing. Plus, how you apply everything you've learned.  What we people have done in the past can never define who we are. In the end, you'd see who really care for you. If you had a tough 2011, I did too, but despite the toughness of my 2011, it was the best after all because I learned.

Few of the things I learned:

-- ...Trust yourself and always believe that everything is possible. Don't ever be afraid to take risks, life is hard but its harder when you dont have any courage to face and take some risk.

-.. Always less for self and more for others. I know some of you will not agree on this but for me, I become more happy when I become selfless. I think I got that trait from my parents. I dont know but for me, its always better to give. Its a bonus when you get to receive.

On love:
-- Relationships are never easy. But everything will be worth it when you have someone who'll be your bestfriend, lover and brother.

--what I have learned from Patten: Never get tired of loving and forgiving. Never get tired of trying to work everything out. Love until it hurts no more but learn from all the mistakes and make things right.

--Admit when you are wrong. Learn from the mistakes and move on. Dont outshine the other because you and your partner are a team.

On Family..
-- Make everyday count. Forgive your brother, sister, or parents. They love you as much as you love them. You just have to understand. It is the single most important unit, it starts and ends with the family. At the end of the day, nothing could be compared to the love that you get to receive from your family.

On Faith in God

--Believe Him when He says it will be alright. Trust His love and plans for you. Nothing can be any greater than His love for you. Just let Him in.

-When in doubt, when you feel like your life is a mess, look up. Close your eyes, put your hands to your left chest. Feel the beat of your heart. That is called a purpose. Its for you to find out.

--When you do your best, God will always make sure that you will be more than blessed. Be patient to wait for His reward.

--Above all, God will never stop loving you. He loves us too much. His love is constant and more than what we can imagine.

On the people who hate you.
--Chin Up but keep your feet on the ground. Never compete, inspire them instead. You can not please everybody, always remember that. Remain humble but give them a good fight. Play the game wisely. *wink*

-stop from hating others. Focus on yourself and on the things you can improve.

--Be yourself and stop trying to be someone else. When you learn to enjoy your gifts, you learn to enjoy life as well and you become beautiful. ;-)

And there's a lot more. Some can be found on my blog posts last 2011. Why not write everything you have learned in 2011? im sure you'll say "I'm glad I passed 2011 with flying colors, if not atleast you survived the challenges of 2011 vey well"

So there you go, hope we're all geared up to face another chapter of our lives. May God bless us all this 2o12. :-)

Happy New Year! Thank you for being with me last year, I'm glad if you'll join me on my journey this 2012. I dont know how many of you get to read and visit my blog but I thank you guys for reading. To the people whom I didnt expect reading my blogs, wow! Thank you for the kind words. I get so kilig. Thank you so much. God bless you!!! :-)

Life is beautiful
Go and make your 2012 count.

No prayer is unanswered: God bless, Mindanao.

photos from google.

What can be more heart-breaking than seeing what our fellowmen are going in through down South especially this Christmas time? Yes, to most of us we are all excited for the coming Christmas and eager to get our gifts and new set of clothes, etc. But to some Filipinos, this will be the most depressing Christmas perhaps. If you have no idea on what I am talking about, go to Google and search for ''typhoon Sendong''. Filipinos down South (Cagayan de Oro and Iligan City) experienced one of the most devastating moments of this year. What breaks my heart more is that it happened on Christmas time. I can not imagine how my fellowmen will be able to overcome those. I can not imagine how they will still try to be positive and move on. It's sad. I know, we all know, that no matter how much we struggle, everything will be alright because everything happens for a reason. We lost not just one hundred lives but more than 600-700 lives and still many are missing. How heart-breaking it is to some families to lose their loved ones this Christmas. They need help.

Heart-breaking, isnt it? Now tell me, what is your struggle this Christmas? Want me to tell you mine?

My mom will not be coming home for Christmas but  still..she manages to send us what we need, more than what we need. My brother, Kuya Frank who works in Dubai, will not be home aswell, but still manages to give his family what they need. In short, I wont have a complete family this Christmas. I havent had any complete family for  more than 5 years (I'm not sure but its more than that). But.. I know they are in good hands, they have good set of clothes, they have someone abroad to comfort them. Well atleast, that is the most important thing. But those families in Mindanao, mothers and fathers lost their child, some lost their friends, a lot died and many families share the same sorrow of losing the people that they love this time of the year..--- no more complete family. No more days to look forward to as a complete family.

I dont have the most beautiful clothes this Christmas, and I struggle getting new clothes. BUT, what can be more struggling than losing your home? Yes, its tragic. Our fellowmen down south lost their homes and other possessions brought by this typhoon. By losing their home, they lost their clothes, appliances, etc. some had their cars broken, establishments were affected.

Now, if you think you have the biggest problem in the world, THINK. You are too blessed. We are too blessed. If we cant send them clothes, food, etc, the least thing we can do is to pray for them. Its a tough time for them. Remember, we've been really blessed this year and a prayer wont hurt us. May our fellowmen see light in the toughest time of their lives. Let us pray for them. No prayer is unanswered.

.No matter how bad we see life, no matter how we feel devastated, I'm sure God has His own reasons. God Bless, Mindanao. God bless our nation.
